In addition to his successes in the Czech Republic, in July 2021 junior Habarta competed for the Czech national team at the U20 European Championship in Tallinn, Estonia. He ran his usual event of 3000m steeplechase. He fought his way to the final run, where he finished in 10th place in 9:08.58.

A month later, he participated in the Under-20 WC in Nairobi, Kenya. Habarta didn't get lost here either. At the start, he placed 7th. In the 3000m steeplechase final, he was among strong competition from African runners. He finished in a beautiful tenth place with a time of 9:09.86.

After a year, Habarta repeated his participation at the 2022 Under-20 WC, this time in Cali, Colombia. He took to the track only in the last third run. The wait paid off and it was a direct advance to the final from third place. And at the same time, with his time of 8:47.36, he equaled the junior national record of Rostislav Švec from 1984.

The final of the 3000 m run was very exciting until the last seconds. Habarta fought his way from the back positions in the race to the final 9th place. With his performance, he thus improved by one place from the last WC in Nairobi.

Habarta continues to gain valuable experience. On September 17, he ran the European road race in Oderzo, Italy. The 10 km race was run by a team of four Czech representatives: Jan Máša, Matěj Hřebačka, Tomáš Habarta and Matěj Placatka. All representatives placed themselves in respectable places. Matěj Hřebačka in 7th place, Tomáš Habarta in 11th place, Jan Máša in 22nd place and Matěj Placatka in 28th place.
